A Walther P5 Lang chambered in 9mm, the scarce long barrel variant with the muzzle extending past the slide. Accompanied by its factory box, commemorative manual, magazine, and factory test target marked for the long barrel.
Most P5 pistols you'll come across wear a 3.5 inch barrel tucked neatly inside the slide. This one doesn't. The barrel reaches out a full two inches past the muzzle, and that single detail moves it out of the ordinary and into the P5 Lang category, the long barrel variant Walther built in small numbers for shooters who wanted more sight radius and velocity from the platform.
The lineage traces straight back to the P38. Walther kept the wedge locking action and the alloy frame, then reworked the design in the late 1970s to meet German police requirements. You get the double action and single action trigger, the decocking lever on the left side of the frame, and the enclosed slide that hides the barrel on standard guns. Here the extended barrel breaks that silhouette, and the front sight rides on a band at the muzzle rather than the slide. Chambered in 9mm, fed by a single stack eight round magazine.
The finish is a deep blue across slide, frame, and barrel, holding strong with only light handling marks on the high edges. Slide markings read Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do alongside the banner logo. The black checkered polymer grips are sharp and uncracked, each carrying the screw medallion. Bore is clean with crisp rifling.
What anchors this one is the paperwork. It comes with the Walther factory test target, the Anschußscheibe, with the P5 box checked and L. Lauf noted in hand next to it. That's the factory confirming the long barrel at the time it left Ulm. The brown Walther box, the 100 Jahre 1886-1986 commemorative manual, and the magazine round out the package. For a Walther collector, the P5 Lang is one of the harder configurations to find complete, and this one carries its documentation.
