A West German Korth Ratzeburg Combat revolver in .357 Magnum with a 6-inch ventilated-rib barrel. Satin stainless finish, adjustable sights, and hand-fitted target walnut grips.
Pick up a Korth from the Ratzeburg years and you understand why collectors talk about these the way they do. The barrel here tells you exactly where it came from. Stamped along the frame in clean block letters, it reads Made in W. Germany, Waffenfabrik Korth, Ratzeburg / LBG. That marking is the whole point. These were built one at a time in the original Ratzeburg shop, before the company changed hands and moved production, and the fit shows it.
The gun wears a satin stainless finish that diffuses light rather than throwing it back at you. Look closely and you'll see the machining lines stay crisp, the edges sharp, the flats true. The 6-inch barrel carries a ventilated rib up top and a full underlug below, with the caliber rolled into the side in light lettering. Up front sits a removable red insert front blade, paired with a fully adjustable rear leaf for windage and elevation. The cylinder swings on a yoke you adjust with the knurled tension screw ahead of the sideplate, which is a detail unique to Korth.
The trigger is what people remember. Single action breaks like a thread parting. Double action rolls through smooth and even, the result of hand fitting that no production line replicates. The hammer, trigger, and ejector rod all show the same care found across the rest of the gun.
Grips are checkered European walnut in a target profile, full and rounded with a palm swell that fills the hand. The tone runs warm against the stainless. The cylinder chambers six rounds of .357 Magnum, and the bore stays bright with strong rifling.
It comes with the original black Korth box marked Die Stahlgewordene Prazision. For a collector chasing a true Ratzeburg gun in stainless with the long barrel, this is the configuration to hold out for.
