Korth PRS 5" .45 ACP

Korth is a name most shooters know from revolvers, so finding the PRS, the company's take on the 1911, chambered in .45 ACP is a bit of a different animal. This one wears a deep matte black finish across the slide and frame, broken up by the warmth of figured walnut grip panels. The wood carries real grain, the kind that looks different from every angle, and it plays against the industrial geometry of the gun in a way that keeps your eye moving.

The slide tells you immediately this is not a parts-bin build. Up top sits a fully adjustable LPA rear sight paired with a serrated front blade, giving you a long sight radius off the 5 inch barrel. Korth machines distinctive textured press-check panels into the slide flats, a round dimpled pattern you won't mistake for anyone else's work. The Korth name is cut clean into the left side, and the barrel and frame carry the .45 Auto and Waffenfabrik Korth Germany markings, along with the CIP proof stamps that mark a German-proofed pistol.

The controls run the full competition spec. There's a skeletonized trigger, an ambidextrous extended thumb safety, a high-cut beavertail grip safety, and a checkered mainspring housing with matching aggressive front strap texturing. The trigger guard is relieved and the magazine well is beveled. Look closely at the muzzle and you'll see the standout feature: a tunable barrel weight system clamped to the dust cover, the kind of thing meant to settle muzzle rise for precision work.
