A Korth Combat revolver chambered in .357 Magnum with a 6 inch ventilated-rib barrel. Wears the seldom-seen plasma finish that earned it the Unicorn nickname.
Pick up a Korth Combat and you understand within a second or two why these revolvers carry the reputation they do. Pick up this one, with its plasma finish, and you stop comparing it to anything else. The surface is the whole story here. It sits somewhere between a brushed satin and a deep liquid metallic, shifting character as you turn it under light. Korth applied this treatment to very few Combat revolvers, and seeing it on a 6 inch .357 Magnum in this configuration is the kind of thing that earns a piece the Unicorn nickname.
The gun itself is built on Korth's full-size Combat platform out of Pfarrkirchen, Germany. It's chambered in .357 Magnum, fed by a six-round cylinder, and wears a 6 inch barrel with a ventilated rib and full underlug. That barrel length puts the balance right where it should be, long enough to settle the muzzle and stretch the sight radius, short enough to still swing easily. The rib runs the full length and the underlug shrouds the ejector rod cleanly.
Look closely at the fit. The crane sits flush, the cylinder gap is tight, and the cylinder release works with the kind of deliberate, mechanical feel that separates a Korth from the pack. The frame carries the V Korth signature on the side, and the smooth Turkish walnut target grips are cut to fill the hand, each panel laser-marked with the Korth logo. Adjustable target sights sit up top.
The bore is bright with crisp rifling. The action breaks the way a hand-fitted German revolver should, both single and double.
It comes in its fitted wooden presentation case lined in black. For a collector chasing the high end of European wheelguns, the plasma finish is the detail that makes this one hard to let walk out the door.
