A Korth Classic revolver chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, one of only two built in this OWMV configuration. Finished in a multi-spectrum blue PVD with gold-tone controls and ivory-tone grips.
Korth builds revolvers in small numbers to begin with. This Classic is one of just two finished in this exact OWMV configuration, and the factory paperwork in the case spells that out. That alone puts it in territory most collectors never get to handle.
The finish is the first thing that grabs you. It's a multi-spectrum PVD treatment that runs from deep sapphire blue through violet into an oil-slick shimmer, and it shifts every time the light moves across it. The full-lug barrel carries a ventilated top rib and a row of gold accent flutes down each side, with the same color play running the full length. Chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, the barrel measures six inches and wears the Korth Germany Waffenfabrik roll mark along with the .44 Rem. Mag stamp on the right side.
Gold-tone controls carry the contrast. The hammer, the wide target trigger, the cylinder release, the ejector rod, and the accent pins all sit in warm gold against the blue, and the cylinder shows the smooth fluting Korth is known for. A small red signal pin rides at the top of the frame near the hammer. The sights are a square-notch adjustable rear and a serrated ramp front, both set up for serious shooting rather than show alone.
The grips are smooth ivory-tone panels with the Korth script inlaid at the heel. They fill the hand without checkering, a quiet break from the metalwork that lets the finish carry the whole presentation.
It comes in the factory case with both instruction manuals, the cleaning tools, the disassembly screwdriver, and the original factory tag listing the matching component numbers. For a collector who chases the rarest of the Korth output, a documented one-of-two in this finish is the kind of piece that does not come around twice.
