A Korth Classic revolver in .44 Remington Magnum with a 6 inch barrel, one of only two finished in this flame-blued spectrum treatment. Gold-accented controls, ivory-tone grips, and complete factory case and documentation.
Korth builds revolvers the way watchmakers build complications, and this Classic is the kind of piece that even other Korths have to stand aside for. It's one of only two examples finished in this exact specification, and the thing that stops you is the steel itself. The whole frame and barrel wear a flame-blued spectrum finish that runs from deep sapphire through royal purple into warm bronze as you turn it under the light. That coloring isn't paint. It's heat drawn across polished steel, and it shifts with every angle.
Underneath the dress is a serious gun. Chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, it carries a 6 inch barrel with a full underlug and a row of gold-accented vent slots cut along the rib. The barrel is roll-marked Korth Germany Waffenfabrik on the frame and .44 Rem. Mag. along the side. The cylinder holds six, and the lockup and timing are exactly what you expect from the maker, fitted by hand by gunsmith Marcel Korthals.
The controls play against the blue in bright gold. Trigger, hammer, cylinder screws, ejector rod, and the recessed grip screws all wear gold plating, and a red insert sits in the rear of the frame. A gold Korth medallion is set into the right side. The grips are smooth ivory-tone polymer, sculpted to fill the hand, each panel signed Korth at the heel.
Worth noting: the bore and muzzle crown show the only honest steel left bare, a nice contrast against all that color.
This one comes in its fitted Korth wood presentation case with both manuals, the factory cleaning tool, the witness cartridge, and the original factory documentation tag. For a collector chasing the far end of what Korth's custom shop will do, this is a short list to be on. Two were made. This is one of them.
