A hand-built Korriphila HSP 701 chambered in 9mm with the double-action trigger and decocker. Roller-locked delayed blowback action, made in Germany in very limited numbers.
Edgar Budischowsky's name is cut into the right side of the frame, and that's where the story starts. The HSP 701 was never a production gun in any normal sense. Korriphila built these in tiny batches in Germany, by hand, to standards that most factories could not touch even if they wanted to. You see it the moment you handle one. This example wears the double-action trigger with a decocker, a layout you run into far less often than the single-action variant, and it pairs that mechanism with a roller-locked delayed blowback action that almost nobody else has ever used in a service-size pistol.
The slide carries the Korriphila H logo, the Mod. HSP 701 marking, and Made in Germany on the left, with System Budischowsky engraved along the right. The deep matte black finish runs clean across the slide and frame, and the polished barrel shows bright through the ejection port, marked 9mm Luger. Sharp vertical serrations cut into the rear of the slide give a positive grip. The sights are an adjustable target rear paired with a fixed front, the kind of setup that tells you this gun was built to shoot, not just to sit in a safe.
The grips are checkered walnut, secured with screws wearing brass washers, and they fill the hand with real warmth against the architectural metalwork. Look closely at the fitting. The controls sit flush, the tolerances are tight, and every edge is finished by someone who cared.
Production numbers on the HSP 701 ran into the low hundreds across its entire life. Most collectors will go years without seeing one in person, and the decocker version is scarcer still. If you have been chasing the pinnacle of German pistol craft, this is the bench most others are measured against. Hold one once and the price stops being a question.
