Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter Factory Engraved

The barrel says it all. Roll-marked COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER in the old script, this is a 3rd Generation Single Action Army built in 1995 and dressed the way the early guns wore for the men who could afford them. The whole thing is coated in mirror-bright nickel, and almost every flat surface carries deep factory floral scroll cut over a punch-dot background. It catches light from across a room.

Look close at the engraving and you start to see the hand behind it. The scroll wraps the recoil shield, flows down the frame, and runs the length of the barrel in graceful flowing lines. The cylinder wears its own panels of scroll broken by the cuts. Even the loading gate carries a tight spiral that the engraver clearly took time with. This is C grade coverage, the kind that rewards a slow look under good light.

The grips are ivory colored, full checkered with a horse head and Mexican eagle pattern molded into the panels, set against the brilliant nickel for maximum contrast. Up top you get the classic SAA sighting setup, a simple blade front and a frame-notch rear milled into the topstrap. Nothing modern. The barrel address on the left flank reads COLT'S PT. FA. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CONN U.S.A. inside a ribbon panel, and the frame carries the three patent dates stacked beside the recoil shield.

Condition is the headline here. This revolver holds better than 99% of its original nickel, with only the faintest trace of handling. The engraving stays crisp, the checkering sharp to the touch, and the four-click action feels tight and clean.
