Deep blued barrel and cylinder running against a swirling case-hardened frame, with full coverage scrollwork cut into nearly every surface. This is a third generation gun out of Hartford, chambered in .45 Colt, and dressed the way Colt's custom shop liked to dress them when a buyer wanted something built to be looked at rather than carried.

The engraving is the story here. Tight, flowing scroll wraps the barrel, the recoil shield, the loading gate, the trigger guard, and the backstrap, with the cuts running clean and confident around every contour. The barrel still reads COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 through the scroll. The case colors carry that mottled blue and straw tone that plays against the polished blue, and the whole thing sits in a balance that keeps the decoration from overwhelming the steel underneath.

Then there are the grips. Genuine mother of pearl, birdshead profile, with that shifting white and cream luster that no two panels ever share. They round off the grip frame and throw light in every direction next to the darker metalwork.
