A Beretta 1301 Tactical in custom Flat Dark Earth with a Mesa Tactical Urbino pistol grip stock. This 12 gauge runs the fast BLINK gas system with an 18.5 inch barrel, ghost ring sights, and a mounted red dot.
Most 1301 Tacticals leave the factory in black, with a standard stock and a bead. This one took a different road. It wears a full Flat Dark Earth coating from receiver to barrel, runs a Mesa Tactical Urbino pistol grip stock out of Costa Mesa, and arrives optics ready with a slide-mounted red dot already sitting on the rail. For anyone who has shopped the 1301 and wanted the duty build done right from the start, this is the package most people end up assembling piece by piece.
The heart of it is still pure Beretta. The BLINK gas system cycles fast and runs a wide spread of 12 gauge loads without fuss, and the 18.5 inch barrel keeps the gun short enough to swing indoors while holding enough mass to stay flat. The forend is the Mod.2 unit with M-LOK slots along the sides and aggressive checkering for a secure hold, and there is a barrel clamp up front with a sling loop and accessory port. Ghost ring sights sit fore and aft in matching FDE, with the front post standing tall enough to co-witness.
That Mesa Tactical stock changes the way the gun handles. The vertical pistol grip pulls the hand into a more upright firing position, and the adjustable cheek riser and rubber recoil pad soften the BLINK's already mild impulse. The grip texture is deep and the black furniture plays cleanly against the earth tone metal.
Controls run oversized across the board. Enlarged charging handle, extended bolt release, and a generous safety, all easy to find under stress or with gloves on. The receiver carries the Beretta trident and the 1301 Tactical rollmark, and the gun is Italian made.
What you get here is a 1301 someone already built into a working defensive gun. The FDE finish, the Mesa stock, the optic, and the ghost rings are the upgrades buyers chase. They are already done.
