A SIG Mastershop P226 X-Six Black Skeleton in 9mm with a single-action-only trigger and a 6 inch barrel. The skeletonized frame carries a factory steel rail weight for flatter tracking.
Look at the dust cover on this one. SIG's Mastershop in Eckernförde cut a long skeleton window into the frame and dropped in a steel weight block that bolts directly to the rail, sitting right under the muzzle where it does the most good. That's the whole idea behind the X-Six Black Skeleton. You add forward mass exactly where a competitor wants it, and the gun tracks flatter through a string than anything in the standard X-Five lineup.
This is the single-action-only build, so the trigger breaks clean with a short reset and none of the double-action stack. The 6 inch barrel runs a full-length top rail with sight serrations milled across the slide, and the rear sight is a fully adjustable target unit paired with a post front. Everything wears the dark blackened finish that gives the series its name, a smoky grey-on-black that shifts in the light depending on how you hold it.
The grips are figured laminate, cut in that aggressive X-Six pattern with checkered panels meeting a smooth diamond center. They fill the hand and lock it into the same spot every draw. Up top you get the extended beavertail, the oversized magazine release, and the ambidextrous safety levers the competition crowd asks for. The barrel is roll-marked 9mm Para, and the frame carries the German proof and SIG Sauer address.
This is not a pistol SIG built in volume for the American market. The Mastershop guns come out of Germany in small numbers, hand-fitted, and the Black Skeleton with the factory rail weight is one of the harder configurations to track down on this side of the Atlantic.
If you shoot a Production Optics or Standard division gun and you want something the line won't see twice, this is the SIG that earns the safe space. Built to compete, finished to keep.
