A SIG Sauer P226 X-Six Skeleton Supermatch from the German Mastershop, chambered in 9mm. Finished in full chrome polish with carbon-fiber X-pattern grip inlays and a ported skeleton slide.
Most X-Six pistols leave the SIG Mastershop wearing a businesslike satin stainless. This one does not. It came out of Eckernförde under full chrome polish, every flat and radius mirror-bright, with carbon-fiber X-pattern inlays set into polished grip panels. That combination, a skeletonized Supermatch slide finished in bright chrome with carbon accents, is not something you find documented in the usual Mastershop output. It reads as a one-off, the kind of piece a single gunsmith took further than the catalog allowed.
Underneath the dress, the bones are pure X-Six. You get the long competition slide cut with aggressive lightening ports, an extended sight radius, and a single-action trigger with the take-up and break that match shooters chase. The slide carries the X-Six engraving and the Mastershop signature ahead of the ejection port, with SIGSAUER stamped at the muzzle end. The barrel is marked 9mm Para. A full-length accessory rail runs under the dust cover, and the controls, takedown lever, slide stop, decocker, sit in polished steel against the brilliant frame.
The grip treatment is where it goes from competition tool to display object. Mirror-polished panels frame the carbon-fiber inserts in an angular X motif, with a knurled mainspring housing and frontstrap giving the hand something to hold against all that shine.
Worth noting: it comes complete. The original Mastershop certificate is present, signed by the head of the shop, along with the SIG test target documenting the 25 meter five-shot group, the X-Series manual, and the factory tools. For a collector who chases the far edge of what the Mastershop produced, this is the piece that anchors a room. You are not likely to see its twin.
