A German Mastershop P226 X-Six Skeleton chambered in 9mm with a skeletonized long slide and ported barrel shroud. Built on the X-Six frame with adjustable target sights and laminate target grips.
Look down the muzzle end of this X-Six Skeleton and the whole story is right there. The slide is cut open in long lateral windows that run the length of the dust cover, the barrel pokes through a ported shroud, and the front of the slide is faceted like something off a bench rest. This is the Mastershop side of SIG's German shop showing what it can do when weight reduction and visual drama get the same priority.
The roll mark reads 9mm Para, P226, Made in Germany, which places it squarely in the long-slide X-Six family built in Eckernförde. Sitting on the standard X-Six frame, the Skeleton stretches the slide and the 6 inch barrel out front for a long sight radius. The slide skeletonization is the headline, but the working details matter just as much. You get an adjustable target rear paired with a fiber-style front, a single action trigger with adjustable stop, an extended beavertail, and an ambidextrous magazine release.
The grips are the gray laminate target panels with sharp diagonal checkering panels and a contoured palm swell, screwed to a frame finished in the same matte silver as the slide. Controls wear black against that silver, so the takedown lever, slide stop, and trigger all read clearly. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the machining on the slide cuts is clean and consistent edge to edge.
And that matters because this is a pistol meant to be looked at as much as shot. It ships in the factory X-Series case with two magazines, both instruction manuals, the SIG cleaning tube, and the original hang tag still attached. For a collector who wants a German competition gun that does not look like anything else on the shelf, the Skeleton earns the attention it draws.
