A first generation SIG Mastershop P226 X-Six Silver Dust in 9mm with a faceted, light-catching slide finish. Built on the 6 inch competition platform with an adjustable target rear sight and SAO trigger.
The Silver Dust treatment is what stops you here. SIG's Mastershop took the flats of a P226 X-Six slide and worked them into a faceted, diamond-cut pattern that throws light in every direction, then left the rest of the slide dark to frame it. The contrast is the whole point. Look at the slide and you'll see the script Silver Dust signature flowing across that worked surface, sitting right alongside the SIG Sauer and Made in Germany roll marks that tell you this came out of Eckernförde, not a U.S. line.
This is a first generation Silver Dust, the earliest run of the design, built on the full X-Six competition platform. The 6 inch barrel and matching slide stretch the sight radius out, and the front sight wears a bright fiber optic pipe that picks up daylight fast. Out back sits an adjustable target rear for fine elevation and windage work. The trigger is the X-Six single action only setup, tuned for a short, clean break that serious shooters chase.
The grips are where this example gets personal. A previous owner fitted a set of aggressive carbon-look panels with deep snakeskin texturing, screwed to the frame over the standard X-Six ergonomics. They give the gun a tactical, almost menacing look against the polished controls. And the controls are polished, the beavertail safety, hammer, and slide stop all wearing a bright finish that catches the eye.
The frame carries an integrated accessory rail up front and the heavy beavertail that the X-Six platform uses to manage recoil during fast strings. Chambered in 9mm, this one runs a 19 round magazine, which is the capacity the X-Six frame was built around.
For a collector chasing the SIG Mastershop catalog, the first generation Silver Dust is the one to anchor a shelf. The later runs came and went, but the early guns wear the original execution of a pattern SIG built its custom reputation on.
