A SIG Mastershop P226 X-Six Scandic in 9mm with an adjustable single action only trigger. Brushed stainless slide, gold-plated controls, and figured Karelian birch grips.
Most P226 X-Six pistols leave the Eckernförde Mastershop in plain stainless. This one didn't. The Scandic carries gold-plated controls against a brushed stainless slide, and the combination is the whole point of stopping to look. The safety lever, slide stop, takedown lever, and the adjustable single action trigger all wear bright gold, and they pop hard against the satin and polished steel around them.
The X-Six platform is SIG's long-slide target gun, built on the steel-frame P226 chassis with a six inch barrel and tuned for precision shooting. This is the SAO Verstellbar configuration, meaning single action only with an adjustable trigger you can tune for take-up, overtravel, and weight. That's the heart of why these guns get built. A shooter chasing tight groups wants a trigger that breaks the same way every time, and the X-Six gives you the screws to dial it in.
The grips are what set the Scandic name apart. They're Karelian birch, that figured Nordic burl wood with swirling grain and warm honey color, fitted with gold-toned grip screws and bushings. No two panels of birch burl look the same, and these carry deep figure across both sides. The frontstrap and backstrap show fine checkering for purchase, and the magazine well wears an extended alloy base.
The slide is cut with the X-Six signature, deep forward and rear cocking serrations, and a fully adjustable rear sight that tracks for windage and elevation. SIG SAUER and the X-Six logo are laser etched clean into the flats. The bore is bright, the rifling crisp, and the action runs tight the way a Mastershop gun should.
This is a competition pistol dressed for a display case. For the collector who wants a working SIG target gun with the dress turned all the way up, the Scandic delivers on both counts. It comes complete with its factory box, manual, and test target.
