SIG Sauer P226 X-Six Club 30 Silber

Look at the slide on this one and you start to understand where SIG's German Mastershop spent its hours. The whole right and left flanks carry a hand-cut fish-scale pattern, flowing back from a row of lightening ports that drop weight right where a long slide needs it gone. This is the X-Six Club 30 in the Silber dress, a P226-platform race gun built in Eckernförde and stamped Made in Germany along the dust cover.

It's chambered in 9mm Para and wears the full 6 inch barrel that gives the X-Six its long sight radius and flat-shooting manners. The frame runs a beavertail tang, a single-action trigger with an adjustable stop, and a checkered front strap that ties into the textured magazine funnel at the heel. Up top sits a fully adjustable target rear paired with a post front, so you can dial elevation and windage to your load.

The grips are the detail that pulls it together. They're a laminate wood and checkered composite set, dark and figured, carrying the Club 30 signature emblem cut into the right panel. Against the satin Silber slide and frame, the contrast reads sharp without tipping into loud.

The Club 30 program was a small-batch collaboration on the X-Series, each gun finished with the vented slide, match trigger, and boutique tooling you see here. SIG has since shuttered the Mastershop, which means no more of these are coming off the bench.

That's the part worth sitting with. This is a competition pistol you can actually run, but it's also a closed chapter of German production handgun work. For a collector who wants a shooter with provenance, or a shooter who wants a piece that holds its place, the X-Six Club 30 covers both ends.
