SIG Sauer P226 X-Six in 9mm, built by the SIG Mastershop for Precision Pistol Competition. Six-inch barrel, single action only trigger, and the limited Blue Ice finish with engraved aluminum X grips.
Most P226 variants leave the factory in matte black or stainless. This one wears Blue Ice, a cold blue-grey finish that shifts under the light depending on how you hold it, and it's the first thing you notice when this pistol comes off the rack. SIG's Mastershop in Eckernförde built it for Precision Pistol Competition, and the whole gun is set up to chase one thing: putting rounds into a tight cluster at distance.
Start with the barrel. Six inches of it, sitting under a full-length dust cover that pushes the weight forward and keeps the muzzle settled between shots. The slide carries the X-SIX laser engraving along the flat, with broad cocking serrations front and rear cut clean into the metal. Up top you get a fully adjustable target rear sight paired with a post front, and the long sight radius does exactly what a competition shooter wants it to do. The trigger is single action only, which on a Mastershop gun means a short take-up and a break that stays consistent shot to shot.
Then there are the grips. They're polished aluminum panels with a large engraved X across each side, the points filled with fine checkering, and they wrap down into a beavertail and a checkered front strap that locks the hand in place. Bright, reflective, and unlike anything you'll find on a standard P226. The frame carries the Made in Germany roll mark and the Eckernförde address.
Worth noting: the Blue Ice run was small. SIG produced these as a limited Mastershop offering, and they don't surface often on this side of the Atlantic.
If you shoot PPC or you collect Mastershop guns, this is a pistol that does both jobs. It's built to win matches and finished to sit under glass, and the Blue Ice treatment means you won't see another one beside it on the line.
