SIG Sauer P226 X-Short Skeleton

Most P226 X-Series guns wear a full-length slide. This one doesn't, and that's the first thing you notice. The X-Short rides on a shortened stainless slide cut down for a faster handling balance, and the German shop took the design a step further with the Skeleton treatment. Long lightening cuts run through the top of the slide, exposing the barrel and dropping reciprocating mass where it counts. The result is a competition-bred single action that points fast and tracks flat.

Look closer at the slide and the detail keeps coming. Aggressive front and rear serrations, stepped relief cuts along the flanks, and the X-Short laser marking sit against a matte silver stainless finish. The Made in Germany rollmark on the dust cover and the SIG Sauer name across the nose confirm this came out of Eckernforde, not a domestic line. The full-length accessory rail stays in place under the muzzle.

The frame is sculpted for shooting. You get an extended beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, fine checkering across the front strap, and a flat competition trigger that breaks clean in single action. The laminated wood target grips carry a diamond checkered panel set into bold figured grain, contoured with a palm swell and an oversized base for control under recoil. An adjustable target rear sight pairs with the fiber optic front.

It's chambered in 9mm and feeds from a steel magazine with an extended base. The package arrives complete in its SIG case with both X-Series manuals, the factory test target signed by the shooter, cleaning grease, and the warranty card.
