A SIG Sauer Mastershop P226 X-Five Open Skeleton chambered in 9mm, built with skeletonized slide and frame, open compensator, and the X-Mount optic bridge. Comes with an Aimpoint Micro H-1, a spare extended magazine, and the Swiss Arms soft case.
Most P226 builds keep their parts hidden. This one puts them on display. The Open Skeleton is the most aggressive expression of SIG's X-Five competition line, and it comes straight out of the Mastershop in Eckernforde where SIG's best gunsmiths hand-fit the guns that wear that name. The slide and frame are cut down to the bone, with lightening windows running the length of both. Less mass means faster cycling, and in a race gun every fraction counts.
The build wears the proprietary X-Mount bridge that hangs off the frame, decoupling the optic from the reciprocating slide so the dot holds steady through the recoil stroke. An Aimpoint Micro H-1 with a 4 MOA dot sits up top, mounted low and forward where the sight picture lands naturally. Out front, the open-port compensator vents gas upward to flatten muzzle rise, and the threaded barrel and ports work together to keep the gun tracking flat between shots.
The stainless surfaces carry SIG's natural finish, marked SIG SAUER along the X-Mount and X-FIVE on the frame. The grips are aggressive black G10, deeply textured with a scale pattern and carrying the X-Five logo, fitted with a flared aluminum magwell and an extended base pad below. The single-action trigger breaks clean with an adjustable face, and the controls run in deep black against the bright metal.
The gun feeds from extended magazines, and a second high-capacity stick comes along for the matches. It ships in the padded Swiss Arms soft case. For the IPSC or steel shooter who wants a factory open gun rather than a one-off custom, this is SIG building the whole package in house. The skeletonized configuration is the rarest of the X-Five family, and you do not see them come up often.
