Underneath the finish, this is a full Supermatch through and through. The 5 inch barrel is chambered in 9mm, the slide carries the deep cocking serrations and the X-Five rollmark, and the frame runs the long competition dust cover with an integral rail. The polished hammer, slide stop, takedown lever, and ambidextrous safety all catch the light against the blue. SIG fitted the bright chrome-look aluminum grips with the cut X motif and aggressive checkered front strap, the kind of grip that locks a hand in place for precision work.

This is a single action competition build, and the trigger reflects that. Crisp, short, and tuned to the standard the Supermatch line is known for. The bull barrel sits flush at the muzzle with a polished crown, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. Roll marks on the right side read Made in Germany, confirming Eckernförde origin rather than a U.S. assembly.

And that matters because the X-Five Supermatch is already a low-production gun before you add a special finish. The Blue Ice treatment narrows the pool to a handful.
