SIG Sauer P226 X-Five Black Lightweight

Pick this one up and the first thing you notice is what isn't there. The weight. SIG's Lightweight version of the X-Five trims mass where it counts, and the balance shifts forward in a way that competition shooters chase. This is a Mastershop gun out of Eckernförde, Germany, and the slide carries the X-FIVE rollmark right where it belongs, with SIGSAUER stamped low on the flat.

The layout is pure single action target pistol. You get a five inch barrel under a slide that runs a full-length accessory rail along the dust cover, a beavertail that lets you ride the grip high, and a thin competition trigger sitting in a generous guard. The rear sight is a fully adjustable target unit, click adjustable for both windage and elevation, paired with a clean front blade. Up top the slide wears a matte black finish that plays against the deep cocking serrations front and rear.

What sets this example apart is the dress. The factory panels have given way to a set of figured walnut competition grips with aggressive checkering, a sculpted thumb shelf, and an engraved monogram across the center. They fill the hand and lock the gun into a repeatable position shot after shot. The walnut color against the black frame is the kind of contrast that makes you stop and look twice.

The frame markings confirm it as a German P226 in 9mm, with the Made in Germany stamp and proof marks present on the right side. The bore is bright, the controls move with that tight Mastershop fit, and the matte finish shows clean.
