A SIG Sauer Mastershop P220 X-Six Skeleton in 9mm, built in stainless steel with a deeply cut, six-inch-long slide. Includes its factory box, test target, two magazines, and manual.
The P220 goes back to the mid-1970s, when it was adopted as a Swiss Army service pistol. SIG's Mastershop in Eckernförde spent years turning that duty gun into a serious target pistol, and the X-Six Skeleton is about as far as the idea goes.
The X-Six line grew out of the X-Five. SIG stretched the barrel to six inches and ran the slide all the way to the muzzle, so there's no frame weight hanging off the front. That long slide gives you a longer sight radius and a steadier hold. Then the Skeleton treatment kicks in. Deep windows are cut through the slide ahead of the ejection port and again near the muzzle, and the hammer and trigger get lightening cuts too. The result is an all-stainless sport pistol that comes in under 1,300 grams.
This one is chambered in 9mm Para, with the caliber marked on the barrel hood. The trigger is single-action only and adjusts from roughly 10 to 16 newtons, so you can set it light for precision work or a bit heavier for action events. A black micrometer rear sight sits over the hammer, with a clean front blade. The dark laminated grips are checkered, carry a palm shelf, and blend into an integrated magwell that SIG calls the jetfunnel. The frontstrap is finely checkered as well. An extended mag catch and a rail under the dust cover complete the frame.
Fit and finish are what you'd expect from Mastershop. The matte stainless is even, the machining is sharp, and the factory hang tag is still on the trigger guard.
It also has the paperwork that matters. It includes a factory test target: five shots at 25 meters, signed by the SIG shooter who proofed it. Add the original box, two magazines, the X-Series manual, and a tube of SIG grease. SIG closed its Eckernförde plant in 2020, so German-made Mastershop pistols like this complete set get harder to find every year.
