SIG Sauer P210 Legend Silber

Every so often a pistol shows up that marks an actual line in a manufacturer's history, and this P210 Legend is one of them. It's the first P210 SIG Sauer built under its revised serial numbering system, and the factory says so in writing. When new German regulations and the rollout of SAP forced SIG to abandon the old letter-prefix scheme, the structure changed entirely. The new format breaks into three areas: production place, model, and a running count. This pistol sits at the very start of that count for the P210 line. The factory letter on the company's Eckernforde letterhead, signed by the Head of Sales, lays the whole thing out and confirms it as the first of the new lettering.

The gun itself is the Legend Silber, the modern Eckernforde-built revival of the P210 single action. The slide rides inside the frame rails, the SIG Sauer hallmark that gives this platform its glass-smooth cycle and the close lockup target shooters built its reputation on. The finish is a satin silver across slide and frame, clean and restrained, with the P210 designation and Made in Germany roll marks reading sharp. Warm checkered walnut target grips wrap the frame, a deep panel checkering set off by the muted metal. The single action trigger, frame-mounted safety, and Patridge-style sights all carry over from the original Neuhausen design.

Chambered in 9mm and fed from a single-stack magazine, it shoots like any other Legend. But that misses the point. This is a reference piece, the kind of gun that anchors a serious SIG collection because it represents a documented manufacturing milestone rather than a production run.
