SIG Sauer P226 X-Five Riviera

Most X-Five pistols come in some shade of black, stainless, or hard chrome. This one wears white. The Riviera takes the SIG Sauer Mastershop P226 X-Five platform and dresses the frame and slide flanks in a bright white coating, then leaves the slide flats and controls in polished bright metal. The contrast is the whole point. White against mirror polish against deep walnut, and it reads exactly the way the German custom shop intended.

The build underneath is pure Mastershop. This is a single-action-only competition gun with a full-length accessory rail, a five inch barrel, and the slim slide profile that defines the X-Five line. The slide carries the X-FIVE logo in script on both sides, the SIGSAUER rollmark up front, and the P226 designation with Made in Germany stamping that confirms a Mastershop origin out of Eckernförde rather than the U.S. plant. The hammer, slide catch, takedown lever, and magazine release are all polished bright, picking up the same shine as the slide flats.

The grips are a set of finely figured walnut target panels with a deep brown grain that runs warm against the white frame. They fill the hand well, and the ambidextrous safety sits right where a competition shooter wants it. Out back you get a fully adjustable target rear sight paired with a post front, the standard X-Five arrangement for serious paper work.

Worth noting: the slide flats show light handling marks under the polish, the kind of honest wear you would expect on a gun that has seen some range time. The white coating remains clean and even.

This one ships in its original SIG Sauer factory case with the manual and factory test target. For a collector chasing Mastershop variants, the Riviera is one of the harder finishes to run down. It's a competition pistol that happens to look like nothing else on the shelf, and that's exactly why it earns a second look.
