SIG Sauer P226 X-Five Emerald Gen 1

Color is the first thing that hits you here, and it doesn't let go. The emerald green runs across the slide and frame in a deep metallic that shifts under light, and it's the whole reason this pistol exists. SIG built the Emerald as a limited Mastershop run, and this is a first generation example, the earliest version of the series before later changes. The German Mastershop only turned out small numbers of these, which is exactly why collectors chase them.

Underneath the finish sits a proper X-Five. That means a target gun built on the P226 platform, with a single action only trigger that breaks clean and a longer slide cut for precision work. The slide carries the SIG Sauer and Made in Germany markings forward of the ejection port, with the Exeter NH import line just behind. Up top you get an adjustable target rear sight paired with a fixed front, the kind of setup a bullseye shooter wants.

The small parts are where the dress comes together. The hammer, slide catch, takedown lever, and trigger all wear bright polished nickel against the green, and the contrast is deliberate. The grips are checkered walnut with a smooth upper panel carrying the engraved Mastershop M, and they fill the hand the way competition grips should. The magazine wears a matching green base pad over a polished steel floorplate.

Worth noting: the bright magazine extension and nickel controls aren't just for looks. They tie the whole package to the Mastershop catalog, where each Emerald left the bench finished to order.

This one comes with its factory box, the manual, and the factory test target that documents how it shot when it left Germany. For a SIG collector who already has the black guns, this is the one that earns a spot in the display case rather than the range bag. You won't see another like it sitting on a table at the next show.
