Mastershop prototype SIG Sauer P226 X-Five in 9mm with a hand-engraved Tom Waller signature on the slide. Built in Germany with matte silver finish, walnut target grips, and full competition controls.
Look at the right side of the slide and you'll find the detail that makes this one different from every catalog X-Five: a hand-engraved Tom Waller signature, scripted in flowing cursive just behind the forward serrations. Waller is the name behind SIG Sauer's Mastershop, the German custom shop where the X-Series competition pistols are hand-fit and tuned, and a personally signed slide ties this gun straight to that bench. It's a prototype, built outside the normal production run, and that combination doesn't come up often.
The pistol is a full-house X-Five in 9mm Para, built on the all-metal P226 platform and marked Made in Germany along the dust cover. The frame wears a refined matte silver tone that reads almost architectural in person, with sharp lines running from the beavertail through the full-length accessory rail. Up top, the slide carries aggressive cocking serrations front and rear, lightening cuts, and a precision-fit bull barrel that sits flush at the muzzle. The adjustable target rear sight pairs with a black front blade for a clean sight picture.
Controls are competition-spec throughout. You get the extended beavertail, the skeletonized adjustable trigger, the oversized magazine release, and a checkered front strap and backstrap that lock the gun into your hand. The grips are richly figured walnut, sharply checkered and stamped with the SIG SAUER logo, warm against the cool metal around them.
It comes complete with its factory case, both operating manuals, the test target, cleaning rod, and accessory packet. For the SIG collector who already knows what a standard X-Five feels like, this is the version that tells a story: a one-off from the Mastershop floor, signed by the man whose shop built it.
