A Heckler & Koch P7 PSP in 9mm, fully hand engraved and gold plated by master engraver J.W. Thompson. Signed work with a black polymer frame, carved grip inserts, and a matching gold magazine.
Most P7s you handle wear a matte black finish and earn their reputation through function. This one earns it through artistry. Every steel surface has been hand cut with deep scrollwork by J.W. Thompson, whose name is engraved into the frame beneath the trigger guard, then plated in gold that lights up under any angle. The work is signed, and that signature is the thing that lifts this above the dozens of gold guns that come and go.
Look closely at the engraving and you can read the hand behind it. Tight acanthus scrolls wrap the slide, the dust cover, the trigger guard, and curl right up to the muzzle crown. The cocking serrations have been preserved and accented rather than buried, so the slide still reads as a working P7 underneath all that ornament. Thompson kept the composition dense without letting it crowd. There are no dead spots and no places where the pattern simply repeats to fill room.
The black polymer grip frame grounds the whole thing. Against the gold, the textured panels and the molded HK P7 logo stand out sharply, and a set of relief carved grip inserts with an oak and acorn motif adds another layer of texture in cream against the dark frame. The squeeze cocker, the low bore axis, the gas delayed blowback action chambered in 9mm. All of it remains exactly as Heckler & Koch built it in Oberndorf.
The pistol ships with its original HK box and operator's manual, plus a matching gold plated magazine carrying its own scroll engraving. This is a single chambered display piece built on one of the most respected pistol platforms ever made, dressed by a named engraver. For a collector who wants a P7 that no one else will be carrying, this is the one to hold onto.
