An HK P9S2 Police-Combat in 9mm, documented as one of only three known surviving examples. Roller-delayed action with original HK P9 box and a spare magazine.
Most HK collectors will go their entire lives without seeing a P9S2 Police-Combat in person. This is one of the reasons why. The slide carries the script Mod. P9S2 roll mark next to Police-Combat, then Heckler & Koch GmbH Oberndorf/N, Made in Germany. That P9S2 designation almost never appears outside HK's own archival material, and the gun wearing it is documented as one of only three survivors of its kind.
The story behind that number is what makes the gun matter. HK built only a handful of P9S2 Police-Combat pistols during the refinement of their roller-delayed handgun line, pre-series examples included. Several of the documented pistols sat in the factory archive in Oberndorf, and when that archive was dissolved, those guns were destroyed. The three that remain had already left the building. This is one of them.
Mechanically it reads as a P9S at heart. A 9mm chambered around the same roller-delayed blowback action and cocking-decocking lever that defined the series, with the polymer-paneled grip frame and the squared HK trigger guard. The slide shows the matte black finish typical of the line, and the German proof marks and the 9 Para barrel marking are crisp under the ejection port. The grip wears the checkered panel with the red HK roundel inset at the heel.
Condition is honest. Handling marks sit on the high edges and around the muzzle, the controls retain deep black, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. It presents as an archived piece rather than a duty gun that saw years of holster wear.
It comes with the original black HK P9 box and a spare magazine. For the collector who already has the commercial P9S variants and wants the one that almost ceased to exist, this is the gun that closes the gap.
