Heckler & Koch P7 M13 Long Slide with Factory Compensator

Stretch a P7 M13 out to twice its normal length, thread a compensator onto the muzzle, and dress the frame in hand-stippled walnut target grips. That's the gun in front of you, and it bears no resemblance to anything HK ever ran through a catalog. The P7 M13 was already the harder of the two double-stack squeeze-cockers to find. This one takes the platform somewhere the factory rarely went.

The upper is the story here. A long slide rides over an extended barrel assembly that pushes out past the trigger guard, capped with a hex-faced compensator held by an Allen screw and a captive detent pin. The slide retains the standard P7 cocking serrations at the rear, and the Oberndorf address with the W-Germany roll mark places the build before reunification. The bluing runs deep and even across the upper, with the compensator showing a slightly different sheen where it joins the barrel.

That gas-delayed blowback action still works the way Edmund Heckler's team intended. Squeeze the front strap, the pistol cocks. Release it, the striker drops to safe. The longer sight radius and the forward gas ports give this a flat, planted feel that the standard 4.1 inch M13 cannot match.

The walnut grips deserve a slow look. They're cut with aggressive palmswell stippling and wrap a frame that started life as a standard polymer-gripped M13. The wood warms up an otherwise all-business package and ties the long upper together visually.

It comes cased in a fitted wood presentation box with green felt lining, a spare 13-round magazine, and a lock with key. For a P7 collector who already has the standard guns, this is the kind of one-off that fills the gap nothing else can.
