Heckler & Koch P9S cased set in 9mm with both the standard 4 inch barrel and the extended Sport barrel. Includes a walnut anatomical target grip, factory polymer grip, muzzle weight, two magazines, and tools.
Most P9S pistols you find are the duty 4 inch guns, sober and black and built for police holsters. This one took a different road. The longer Sport barrel wears the script Sport marking and a Spezial 028 muzzle weight, and the frame carries a carved walnut anatomical target grip that wraps the shooting hand with a sculpted palm shelf. That combination, target barrel plus match grip, tells you this gun spent its life on a range line and not on a belt.
The P9S itself is one of HK's more interesting designs. It runs the roller-delayed blowback system carried over from the G3 rifle, so the locking happens through rollers rather than a tilting barrel. The result is a fixed barrel and a polygonal bore, both of which help a target shooter chase consistent groups. Add the internal hammer, the cocking and decocking lever on the left side, and you have a pistol that handles unlike anything else from the era.
What makes this a set is the completeness. You get the original duty configuration with the standard 4 inch barrel and the checkered black polymer factory grip, and you get the full Sport dress with the extended barrel, the muzzle weight, and the walnut target grip. Swap between them with the included HK grip tool and hex key. The slide marking reads Heckler & Koch GmbH Oberndorf/Neckar, and the frame shows the HK Inc Arlington VA import line.
The finish is the matte black HK used on these, holding well across the slide and frame with light handling wear on the high points. The bore is clean and the rollers and internals look right. Two factory magazines round out the package, and it all rides in a fitted black case with the red and white P9S manual.
For an HK collector, a complete P9S that carries both duty and Sport configurations is the kind of package you stop and study. It covers the range shooter and the cabinet in one box.
