The Edge is the clearest point of entry into Fierce Firearms. Introduced in 2014, it established the company's early technical vocabulary: a controlled-round-feed bolt action, a 70-degree bolt lift, a Sako-type extractor, a fixed-blade ejector, and carbon-fiber component options in a lightweight hunting rifle. These choices gave Fierce a recognizable mechanical identity without relying on decorative distinction.
Fierce identifies John Mogle as its founder, chief executive, and owner. Contemporary Canadian reporting also documents an early manufacturing relationship in Disraeli, Quebec, where Edge- and Fury-era rifles and components were produced for the American brand. The Fury followed in 2016 as a lower-priced interpretation of the early action and carbon-fiber-stock formula.
The company's most clearly documented technical development is its composite-barrel patent application. Filed on 9 June 2015 by John Mogle and assigned to Fierce Firearms LLC, the application describes separate carbon-fiber layers arranged to provide stiffness, strength, and heat transfer around a steel barrel. It was published on 15 December 2016 and is recorded as abandoned, so it is an application rather than a granted patent.
,Fierce later moved beyond conventional stock center-fire rifles. The Mayhem FX introduced a Turkish-supplied, inertia-operated semi-automatic shotgun in 2021, while the Reaper added a chassis rifle with fixed and folding stock options in 2022. Fierce's current catalog covers bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic rifles, rimfires, muzzleloaders, shotguns, and pistols, and the company states that its rifles are now built at its Redmond, Utah factory. For collectors, the most defensible historical distinction is between the early Canadian-produced rifles and the present Utah-made catalog.
