Nighthawk Customs Falcon

The Nighthawk Custom Falcon is a full size, Government frame 1911 built at the company's shop in Berryville, Arkansas under its "One Gun, One Gunsmith" approach. Nighthawk introduced the Falcon at the 2011 SHOT Show, and it quickly became one of the brand's most requested models. The design borrows visual cues from two John Moses Browning firearms, the 1911 itself and the Browning Hi-Power. That homage shows up most clearly in the tapered, Hi-Power style cut on the front of the slide, along with the ball milled top and rear cocking serrations.

This example wears a black finish over a Government size frame and slide, hand fit and lapped together the way every Nighthawk pistol leaves the shop. There's no accessory rail cut into the dust cover, matching the standard Government profile shown in these photos. The rear sight is a Heinie Ledge unit with the Straight Eight tritium insert pattern, paired with a tritium front sight, so the pistol is set up for use in low light as well as on a range bench. The thumb safety, grip safety, and slide stop all show the hand beveling and de-horning Nighthawk uses to keep a carry gun comfortable against the body. Grips are black G10 with the Nighthawk eagle medallion inlaid, giving a secure hold without feeling rough in the hand.

Inside, the pistol carries Nighthawk's tri-cavity aluminum trigger and hand polished ignition parts, tuned at the factory for a light, clean pull. The magazine well and mainspring housing are machined as one piece from tool steel, a detail Nighthawk built specifically for this model.

Nighthawk still lists the Falcon as a current production Government model, offered from the factory in 9mm or .45 ACP, with .38 Super and 10mm available as options. Buyers who want the same profile in a shorter package can find it in Commander length too. This one presents in a factory style configuration, with no aftermarket parts or unusual finish changes visible in the photos provided.
