A genuine Korth Classic revolver in .357 Magnum wearing a custom flame blue-rainbow finish with gold-plated controls. Six-shot, 4-inch barrel, signed ivory-toned grips, complete with factory case and manuals.
Most Korth Classics leave the Ratzeburg factory in deep blue or matte silver, the colors that built the company's reputation among collectors who care about lockup and trigger feel above all else. This one took a different road. The steel has been heat-treated into a flame finish that runs from cobalt through violet into shades of green and amber, so the barrel flutes and cylinder seem to change color as you turn them in the light. Look at the muzzle end and you'll see the spectrum compressed into a few inches of metal. It's the kind of finish that photographs differently in every frame.
Underneath the color, this is a genuine Korth Classic chambered in .357 Magnum. The six-shot cylinder, the hand-fitted internals, and the double-action trigger that Korth is known for are all here, untouched by the cosmetic work. The 4-inch barrel sits in the range most shooters reach for first, balanced and quick to point. Gold-plated controls carry the contrast: the hammer, trigger, ejector rod, and frame screws all wear a warm yellow that plays against the iridescent blue. A red cabochon sits at the rear of the frame, and the Korth roundel medallion is set into the side plate.
The grips are smooth ivory-toned, contoured to fill the hand, and signed Korth Jim Wilson on the right panel. The frame is marked Korth Germany Waffenfabrik. Jim Wilson is the Korth distributor name that ties this revolver to its U.S. importation.
The package is complete. It comes in the fitted Korth case with both German and English instruction manuals, the factory bench tag, the takedown tool, and the Korth-branded accessories. For a collector who already has the standard Korth finishes covered, this is the piece that breaks up the row in the safe and makes everyone stop and ask about it.
