Fowler Industries Synth Vel

The Synth Vel is a hand-built 9mm pistol from Fowler Industries, a licensed firearms manufacturer working out of Granbury, Texas. It follows the double-stack 2011 pattern, a design that splits the classic 1911 into a separate frame and grip module rather than one solid steel block. Fowler builds the Synth Vel on a full-size Government profile with a 5-inch barrel, a full-length dust cover, and a direct RMR-cut slide, so it's ready for a red dot in the RMR footprint, including the RMR HD, right out of the box. No optic comes mounted in these photos, and the slide still wears its iron sights front and rear.

Every Synth Vel starts as a blank canvas. Fowler doesn't keep one fixed spec for color or texture, because buyers choose those themselves through the company's online build configurator: coating, grip texture, trigger length, and the finish on small parts like the safety and slide release. The grip module comes in aggressive aluminum as standard, with a steel version offered for buyers who want more weight up front. One magazine, made by MBX, ships with every pistol.

Mechanically, the Vel shares its internals with Fowler's standard Synth. What sets it apart is cosmetic.
