Vudoo Gun Works Priest 5" LDC

The Priest 5\" LDC is Vudoo Gun Works' answer to the double-stack 1911, built entirely in-house at their Texas facility with the same tight tolerances that made their Mobius rimfire pistol a hit with precision shooters. Vudoo cut its teeth on precision rifles before turning that machining know-how toward handguns, and it shows here. Every slide, frame, and small part on this pistol comes from Vudoo's own shop rather than an outside supplier, which is rare in the crowded 2011 market.

This LDC configuration pairs a full-length dust cover with an accessory rail, so you get better balance down the barrel and a mounting point for a weapon light if you want one. The frame carries a hybrid textured aluminum grip that Vudoo tuned by hand, smooth where your palm sits and grippy where your fingers need traction. A flared tactical magwell speeds up reloads, and the slide wears a contour-matching RMR and SRO optic cut so a red dot sits low and tight to the bore.

Chambered in 9mm and built on the STI and SVI magazine pattern, this Priest feeds from double-stack magazines that hold up to 19 rounds, and it ships with two of them fitted with Vudoo basepads. The barrel is a flush-cut bull barrel, re-crowned for accuracy, and the guide rod comes apart without tools, so field stripping takes seconds instead of a trip to the bench. The safety is ambidextrous and blended into the frame's competition contours, and the trigger is Vudoo's Red Dirt F3, built for a short, clean break.

Everything here, from the slide serrations to the grip texture, is finished in black. It is a pistol built for USPSA, IDPA, or just serious range work, and it carries the fit and finish you would expect from a shop that builds nearly every part of the gun itself.
