Taran Tactical Innovations, known as TTI, builds competition-grade pistols, and the Viper is its take on a compact 2011. It delivers race-gun performance in a compact package, and the parts list backs that up.
This package comes with a Trijicon RMR HD. The Viper is a 9mm with a 4.5-inch PVD-coated island barrel. The island design means much less reciprocating slide mass, which helps the gun return to target faster. The slide is highly polished with a black DLC coating, and the frame is black DLC with an accessory rail cut.
The trigger is where TTI spent a lot of effort. It breaks at 1.75 to 2.25 pounds and uses an Extreme Engineering fire control group with a light speed hammer, an ultra-low-mass sear, a match disconnector and a titanium hammer strut. That's a very light trigger, meant for fast, accurate shooting.
The grip is TTI's Phantom grip with an ergonomic beavertail and safety. The slide has a precision optic cut for the RMR footprint, and the package includes a Trijicon RMR HD along with a Parker Mountain Machine drop-in rear sight.
TTI ships the Viper with three TTI x Checkmate 20-round 126mm magazines, with a choice of 4mm or 7mm base pads.
