The G17 Copperhead XR is a custom Glock 17 from Taran Tactical Innovations, known as TTI. It pairs TTI's bronze Copperhead styling with a recoil-reduction barrel system, so you get a full-size Glock that looks custom and shoots flatter than a stock gun.
What sets the XR apart is the barrel. It uses a Radian Ramjet barrel paired with an Afterburner, a recoil-reduction system meant to keep the muzzle flatter between shots. A flatter muzzle means you spend less time waiting for the sights to settle and more time on your next shot.
The Copperhead look comes from the slide. It's finished in a bronze DLC two-tone over the black polymer Glock 17 frame, and the combination is easy to spot on any range. The slide is cut for an RMR-footprint optic, and TTI fiber optic sights come installed.
The optic itself is not included. That leaves you free to choose the red dot you like best, as long as it fits the RMR footprint.
Inside, the pistol uses a Timney Alpha Competition trigger in place of the factory unit. It's a trigger made for fast, accurate shooting, and it suits the competition feel of the rest of the build.
TTI builds each package to order on a full-size Glock 17. If you want the bronze Copperhead look on a full-size Glock with a flatter-shooting barrel system, the XR is the one to look at.
