Staccato HD C3.6

Staccato used to be called STI, the company behind the original 2011. In 2020 it took the name of the pistol line it had launched the year before, with the same owners and staff. The HD line is an entirely new family of pistols designed with feedback from professional end users. The HD C3.6 is the compact carry pistol in the HD family.

This is the base configuration. It's a single-action 9mm with a 3.6-inch bull barrel, offered in stainless steel or DLC. A fully captive flat wire recoil system sits underneath. The frame is 7075 aluminum machined from billet, so the whole pistol weighs just 24 ounces without a magazine.

The size is right for daily carry. It's 7.1 inches long and 4.8 inches tall, with a 1.2-inch grip. The compact grip module has aggressive front and rear straps, and it takes Glock 19-size magazines. Staccato includes two 15-round Mec-Gar steel magazines.

The C3.6 keeps the features that define the HD line. Controls are ambidextrous, the extractor is external, and there's an active firing pin block. It also uses Staccato's HOST optic mounting system, and Staccato offers free optic mounting and a lifetime warranty.

The trigger has a 4 to 4.5 pound pull with a crisp, clean break. That's a light, predictable pull, and like any carry gun with a light trigger it rewards good holster habits.
