Springfield Armory 1911 Custom Carry

Springfield Armory built the Custom Carry as a full-size 1911 for shooters who wanted Custom Shop fitting in a practical, fixed-sight pistol. This .45 ACP version uses the traditional five-inch format. Springfield lists a forged carbon-steel frame and slide, plus a custom-fitted, match-grade stainless-steel barrel and bushing. The factory also specified a hand-fitted slide, a polished feed ramp and barrel throat, a tuned extractor, and a 4.5-pound aluminum trigger.
The details are focused on use, not decoration. Low-profile combat sights keep the profile clean. An extended single-side thumb safety, fitted beavertail grip safety, lowered and flared ejection port, and beveled magazine well follow the same theme.
