A SIG Sauer Mastershop P226 X-Six Anchorman limited edition in 9mm, the lead pistol in a fifty-gun run. Ported two-tone slide, gold-inlaid walnut grips, and matching Anchorman presentation case with full documentation.
Sculpted slides come and go, but this one carries weight beyond its cuts. It's the first piece in the SIG Sauer Mastershop Anchorman run, a series capped at fifty pistols and built in Eckernförde before the German shop wound down. The case lid wears the number that confirms its place at the head of the line, and the Mastershop certificate signed in Eckernförde backs it up.
The build sits on the X-Six platform, the long-slide competition variant of the P226 family, chambered in 9mm and marked Made in Germany along the frame. The slide is the star here. It runs a two-tone treatment with brushed flats against a black body, deep ladder serrations front and rear, and a scalloped open-top cut that exposes the guide rod and runs the length of the slide. The muzzle end carries an aggressive ported compensator with the Anchorman skull-and-anchor motif machined into it. That same emblem is laser-etched across the slide flat in crisp black, the skull split by the brand name.
Polished controls run throughout. The hammer, ambidextrous safety, takedown lever, magazine release, and adjustable trigger all wear a bright mirror finish that plays against the matte frame. The grips are textured walnut with a heavy basketweave stipple and a gold-inlaid Anchorman skull on the right panel, fitted to a single-stack steel frame with a flared magwell and a checkered front strap.
The pistol carries adjustable target sights and feeds from a 17-round magazine with a steel basepad. And it comes complete. The wood presentation case is finished in matching Anchorman branding, the lid carrying both the skull emblem and the edition number, with the X-Series operating manual, the Mastershop certificate, and the factory test target included. For a SIG collector who tracks the Mastershop era, the lead piece in a fifty-gun run is the one to hold.
