SIG Sauer P226 X-Five Final Edition Silver

Look at the slide of this P226 and you'll find a timeline cut right into the steel. 1751 Suhl, 1853 Neuhausen am Rheinfall, 1951 Eckernförde, 2007 Newington NH. That's the road SIG Sauer traveled, engraved as a farewell. This is the X-Five Final Edition, the pistol the Mastershop in Eckernförde built to close out an era of German production before the lights went dark on that side of the company.

The whole thing is full steel, finished in a soft matte silver that the Mastershop called its signature look. The slide wears that distinctive dimpled cocking field up top, milled in a honeycomb pattern you won't see anywhere else in the lineup. Down the flat you get the X-FIVE and P226 markings cut deep, with Final Edition and Made in Germany sitting right below. The frame carries a full-length accessory rail and an extended beavertail that drops your hand high into the gun.

The grips are where it gets personal. Dark laminate panels with sharp checkering and the stylized Mastershop signature carved into each side, fitted to a steel grip frame with a flared magwell at the base. The trigger is a tuned single action, the controls run oversized for competition use, and the rear sight is a fully adjustable target unit paired with a serrated front blade. It's chambered in 9mm and feeds from steel magazines.

This one comes the way it left Eckernförde. You get the Mastershop certificate signed off as a custom build, the X-Series operating manual, a test target, the SIG gun grease, and the spare magazine. The certificate is the piece that matters most here. It ties the pistol directly to the gunsmiths who built it, and for a Final Edition gun, that link to the last days of German Mastershop work is the entire point.
