A SIG Sauer Mastershop P226 X-Five Facette in 9mm, one of just 25 built worldwide. Full-coverage faceted crystal engraving across the slide, frame, and grips, with factory documentation.
Twenty-five. That's the entire worldwide run of the P226 X-Five Facette, and SIG Sauer's own Mastershop put that number in writing on a signed letter from Eckernförde. The factory documentation that comes with this pistol confirms it, dated June 2020 and signed by the head of sales. For a Mastershop piece, that kind of paper trail is the difference between a story and a fact.
The whole gun is built around one idea, and that idea is light. The slide and frame wear a deep, full-coverage facet pattern, a web of angular planes machined into the stainless that catches and breaks light from every angle. SIG's catalog calls it Kristall-Optik. The effect is closer to cut crystal than traditional engraving, and it runs everywhere. Slide flats, frame sides, trigger guard, even the front strap and the grip panels carry the same shattered-glass geometry.
Underneath the art is a serious competition pistol. This is a full-size X-Five chassis in 9mm with a 5 inch barrel, a single-action trigger, adjustable target sights, and the heavier solid grip frame that the X-line is known for. The black G10 grips bring texture and contrast against the silver, and the controls stay black to anchor the look. Fit is what you expect from the Mastershop. Tight, clean, deliberate.
The slide carries the SIG Sauer and P226 markings, with Made in Germany cut into both sides of the frame.
This one arrives complete with its factory letter, the X-Series manuals, spare magazine, and cleaning materials. If you collect SIG Mastershop work, the Facette is one of the harder ones to find, and a documented example with the original letter is the version you actually want to own.
