The P211 is SIG Sauer's 2011-style pistol, introduced in 2025 as the company's first hybrid-frame design of this type. SIG introduced the P211-GT5 in January 2026 as the full-size member of the family, aimed at duty and competition use.
This is the base model, without a factory optic. It's a single-action-only 9mm with a full-size bull barrel. The barrel is about 4.9 inches long. The frame is stainless steel with an alloy grip module and black G10 panels, and the slide and frame are both finished in black Nitron.
The GT5 has excellent recoil characteristics, and the extra length and steel frame help with that. The slide has aggressive duty-style serrations and is cut for SIG-LOC PRO optics. The controls are fully ambidextrous, the trigger is a skeletonized flat blade, and a removable steel magwell comes installed. A 1913 Picatinny rail sits under the dust cover.
The sights pair an XRAY3 day/night front with a black fixed rear. SIG includes one 17-round and two 21-round steel magazines, and 10-round versions are available where required.
The GT5 measures 8.5 inches long, 5.75 inches tall and 1.48 inches wide, and it weighs 46.4 ounces with a magazine. That's a solid, stable pistol for fast shooting.
