The OA Defense OA 2311 Pro is a full-size double-stack pistol chambered in 9mm with a ported 5-inch barrel. It adds ambidextrous controls and a three-magazine kit.
The OA 2311 Pro takes OA Defense's full-size 9mm and adds a set of duty-focused upgrades. This is the ported configuration, which OA Defense offers alongside a non-ported version.
The biggest change is up front. The Pro uses a DLC-treated, ported 5-inch barrel that helps manage recoil and keep the muzzle down. The slide is cut and contoured, and the trigger is an enhanced design that breaks at 3.5 to 4 pounds. OA Defense also adds an extended magazine release paddle for quicker reloads.
The rest of the pistol builds on the standard 2311. The frame is 7075 aluminum, the grip module is polymer, and the full-size magwell is aluminum. The controls are fully ambidextrous, and the slide is ready for an optic with the included Dawson Precision optics kit for RMR-footprint dots. Dawson also supplies the fiber optic front sight and fixed rear.
The Pro ships with three magazines, one 21-round and two 17-round Magpul AMAG magazines, unless you're in a limited-capacity state. That's one more magazine than the standard model. It's 8.5 inches long and weighs 28 ounces unloaded.
OA Defense builds the Pro in America. Gunsmiths hand-fit the critical engagement points, and each pistol goes through inspection and test firing before it ships. A range bag, grip kit and G2 hammer and sear kit round out the package.
If you liked the idea of the 2311 but want porting, better controls and an extra magazine from the factory, the Pro is the one to choose. It costs a bit more than the standard model, but the ported barrel and extra magazine add real value at the range.
