The Noveske 9 Cry Baby is a braceless 9mm AR-pattern pistol with an 8.125-inch barrel and direct blowback operation. It takes Colt-style magazines and has a TriggerTech two-stage trigger.

The Cry Baby runs on direct blowback, the simple and common system for 9mm AR designs. The barrel is 416R stainless with a 1-in-12 twist, a hand polished chamber and a hand polished feed cone, and each barrel is individually serialized for quality control. The 1/2x28 muzzle has a Noveske marked tri-lug adapter and thread protector, so you can mount a tri-lug suppressor.
The upper and lower are Noveske Gen 4 billet receivers machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, with Type III hardcoat anodizing and Armor Black Cerakote. The lower has an oversized flared magazine well that takes Colt-style 9mm magazines, a fixed ejector, an ambidextrous bolt release and paddle magazine release, and an ambidextrous 45/90 Radian Talon safety. The upper has the Noveske Love Handle ambidextrous charging handle and a DLC coated bolt carrier group.
The handguard is Noveske's Gen 4 NSR-7 M-LOK rail with a Picatinny top rail. The trigger is a TriggerTech two-stage drop-in unit with a 5-pound pull. The grip is a B5 Systems Type 22, the buffer is a Vltor A5H4, and Magpul MBUS Pro steel sights are fitted.
It measures about 25.75 inches collapsed and weighs about 6.25 pounds dry.
