A gas-delayed blowback pistol chambered in 9x19mm with a fixed barrel and the lowest bore axis of any production handgun. This Standard Kit includes the fiber-optic iron-sight top rail, two 17-round magazines, and a custom hard case.
The Laugo Arms Alien looks like nothing else on a pistol range, and that's the point. Built by Laugo Arms in Czechoslovakia and designed by Ján Lučanský, the same engineer behind the CZ Scorpion EVO 3, the Alien throws out a century of pistol convention. There's no tilting barrel, no locking slide, no reciprocating sights. Instead, you get a fixed 4.8-inch barrel bolted straight to the frame, a gas-delayed blowback system, and a bore axis sitting a mere 1.7mm below the top of the grip. That last number matters more than it sounds. Laugo claims it has the lowest bore axis of any production pistol, which is why the Alien tracks flat through recoil instead of climbing.
Lučanský spent years refining the idea after leaving CZ in 2013, and the Alien debuted at IWA OutdoorClassics in 2019 before earning Recoil Magazine's top award at SHOT Show 2020. Competitive shooters noticed fast. With the barrel locked in place and the top rail staying stationary through every shot, the sight picture barely moves between rounds, which lets you call hits and reset faster than a conventional slide-mounted sight allows.
This example wears the Duotone Black and Green finish, an olive drab frame paired with a black steel slide marked ALIEN along the top and LAUGO ARMS CZECHOSLOVAKIA on the right side. Aggressively textured G10 grip panels are set into the aluminum alloy grip frame for a secure hold, and the fiber-optic front sight with adjustable rear sight gives a proper iron-sight picture right out of the case. Loosen a single pin, and the top rail swaps to an optic mount without losing zero, should you want to add a red dot down the road.
The Standard Kit is built to get you shooting the same day it arrives. Two 17-round magazines, a tool kit for field maintenance, a dry-fire training insert for practicing trigger control at home, and a small custom hard case round out the package. It isn't a gun you buy to look at. It's a gun you buy to shoot and shoot well.
