A Korth PRS 1911 in .45 ACP wearing the heat-shifting Blue Plasma finish on a compact 4.25 inch frame. German-built with dimpled serrations, figured wood grips, and a stainless bull barrel, offered complete with its original case and accessories.
Most 1911s aim for restraint. This Korth PRS does the opposite. The Blue Plasma finish runs through deep sapphire across the flats, then breaks into violet and a band of fiery copper along the dust cover and slide edges, shifting every time you turn it under light. It is a heat-driven titanium-style color treatment that no two examples wear quite the same, and on the compact 4.25 inch PRS frame it covers a lot of real estate.
Look closer and the handwork starts to register. The slide carries Korth's signature dimpled cocking serrations, a raised pattern of rounded studs rather than cut grooves, repeated on the front strap and mainspring housing. The frame is engraved Waffenfabrik Korth Germany along the dust cover, with the Korth script worked into the slide. A skeletonized trigger and matching hammer keep the silver controls bright against the color, and the stainless bull barrel and recoil rod stand out at the muzzle. Up top sit a blued beavertail grip safety and thumb safety, a combination that grounds all that color in something familiar.
The grips are figured wood, warm and lightly grained, held by blued screws. They temper the futuristic finish with something organic. Chambered in .45 ACP, the PRS feeds from a single-stack magazine and runs Korth's tuned single-action trigger, the kind of break that justifies the name on the slide.
This one comes complete. You get the original Korth hard case, the PRS manual, a spare magazine, recoil spring, guide rod and bushing, cleaning rod, chamber plugs, and the enamel Korth pin. Korth builds these in small numbers, and a Blue Plasma in the short 4.25 inch configuration is not a gun you stumble across twice. For a collector chasing the loudest thing Korth's shop produces, this is it.
