A handbuilt Korth PRS long-slide 1911 in .45 ACP with a six inch ported barrel shroud. Finished in warm bronze with figured walnut grips and German factory documentation.
Korth doesn't really do quiet, and the PRS is proof. This is a 1911 platform put through the same German shop that built its reputation on revolvers, and the result reads less like a service pistol and more like a machined sculpture wearing a warm bronze coat. The six inch configuration is the long-slide version, and the front of it carries a vented, ported barrel shroud held with hex screws that gives the whole package its unmistakable profile.
Look closely at the slide and you start to see where the hours went. There's a pebbled, dimpled texture milled into both the forward and rear panels, a pattern you won't find on any production 1911. The Korth name is cut into the flat of the slide, and the frame carries the Waffenfabrik Korth Germany roll mark along the dust cover. The barrel is chambered in .45 ACP and stamped .45 Auto at the chamber. A fully adjustable rear sight pairs with a serrated front blade for precise zeroing.
The dress is where it gets personal. Figured walnut grips with a carved diamond border sit against a frame finished in that same bronze tone, and the front strap and mainspring housing wear an aggressive dimpled texture that matches the slide. Controls run black, the trigger is a skeletonized three-hole, and the recoil system shows through a polished exposed plug at the front of the dust cover.
And that matters because every one of these is hand-fitted and signed off by a Korth gunsmith. The factory tag confirms the gunsmith's initials and the approval signature, the way Korth documents each build. It comes cased with the tool kit, takedown wrenches, and the brass Korth cartridge keychain. For a collector who already has the German revolvers and wants the pistol side of the house, this is the one to hold.
