Korth PRS 5 Inch 9mm

Most PRS pistols you come across wear either the long-slide competition barrel or the shorter carry-length build. This one splits the difference, and that's exactly what makes it worth a second look. The 5-inch configuration is the format Korth offers least often, and finding one outside the usual two lengths is the kind of detail a PRS collector notices before anything else.

The build is unmistakably Korth. A satin-finished slide rides over a black frame, and the contrast does most of the visual work. Those dimpled cocking serrations on the slide flats are the signature touch, cut with the same consistency front and rear, and the slide carries the Korth name on the flat along with the Waffenfabrik Korth Germany roll mark on the frame. It's chambered in 9mm Luger, marked plainly on the slide. The barrel sits in a black bushing-style muzzle that ties into the dual-port compensator at the front.

The controls run the full custom layout. You get an extended beavertail grip safety, a skeletonized trigger, a checkered slide stop and thumb safety, and a flat checkered mainspring housing. The grips are warm walnut panels with a smooth center and bordered edges, and they ground the whole pistol against all that machined steel. An LPA adjustable rear sight pairs with a serrated front blade.

Components read as matching throughout, which matters on a pistol built to this standard. This is a factory gun, assembled and finished as a unit, not a parts build dressed up to look the part.

For the collector who already knows what Korth is, this one rewards a slow look. It doesn't shout. It sits in the case and waits for someone who understands why the 5-inch length is the hard one to find.
