Korth PRS 5" .45 ACP

Look at the texturing on this PRS and you start to understand what separates a Korth from everything else wearing the 1911 silhouette. Where most builders cut checkering or stipple a polymer panel, Korth machined a field of raised, perfectly spaced dimples into the slide flats, the grip panels, and the backstrap. Each recess is cut, not pressed, and the pattern stays even across every surface it touches. That kind of work is why these pistols come out of the Lollar shop in Ratzeburg one at a time, signed by the gunsmith who built it.

The pistol is chambered in .45 ACP and rides a 5 inch match barrel paired with an integrated compensator that fits into the slide's lines without breaking them. Up top you get a fully adjustable LPA rear sight and a serrated front, set into a slide carrying the deep Korth roll mark and the Waffenfabrik Korth Germany address along the dust cover. The frame wears a full-length acc, an extended beavertail, a skeletonized trigger, and a flat checkered mainspring housing that ties the grip together. Controls run ambidextrous, and the high undercut lets you choke up close to the bore.

The finish is a deep matte black, even and understated, with the polished feed ramp and bright bore showing the fitting underneath. The slide-to-frame fit is tight with no perceptible play. Markings are crisp, the CIP proofs are clean, and the bull-barrel muzzle sits flush in its bushing-less arrangement.

This one comes as a complete factory set, presented in its Korth case with the gunsmith's handwritten build tag, the Korth safety manual, and a spare magazine. For a buyer who already owns the usual American custom names and wants something built to a different standard entirely, this is where that search ends.
